Start writing here..A huge thank you to Thorne Fire & Security for donating and fitting a brand-new CCTV camera system to help protect our volunteer kit and project areas in Ightenhill Park.
Why we needed an upgrade
The park’s previous CCTV — installed years ago to help safeguard the polytunnels and storage containers — had begun to degrade with age and weather. Reliability was dropping, and maintenance costs were creeping up.
What’s new
Thorne Fire & Security have replaced the old equipment with an advanced 4K CCTV system offering 24/7 recording and secure remote access for live viewing and playback. The cameras are positioned to protect our working and storage areas so we can keep tools, materials and community projects safe.
We’re incredibly grateful for this generous support — it strengthens our ability to care for the park, deters vandalism, and gives volunteers extra peace of mind.
Thank you
Massive thanks to the Thorne Fire & Security team for donating the hardware and their time on the installation — a brilliant example of local business backing a community space.
