A special visit to the park
Our Wednesday crew were joined by Graham Liver from BBC Radio Lancashire today. It was the perfect moment to share some proud news with the team and our supporters.
Shortlisted for the Green Award
Friends of Ightenhill Park has been nominated and shortlisted for the Green Award at the BBC Radio Lancashire Make a Difference Awards 2025.
This recognition reflects the hard work of volunteers, partners and neighbours who give their time to keep the park welcoming, greener and well-used all year round.
What happens next
We’re delighted to be among the finalists, and four of our volunteers will be at the Mechanics very soon to find out if we’ve won.
We’ll update you as soon as we can — watch this space!
Thank you
Huge thanks to everyone who has volunteered, donated, sponsored materials, booked a stall, or simply turned up to our events.
You make the difference!
