ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Following a slip/trip incident, Ida has initiated an incident book and this is kept in the red folder in the buzz hub.

List of key holders also in the red folder in the Buzz Hub.   Please can members complete which keys they hold.

Margaret to let Ida have a dozen jars for the marmalade.

Tennis courts – operational since 7th July and booking figures are good.

Ball courts – tender deadline is 15th August.  Work to commence Sept/Oct.

Pump track – this would cost approx. £50,000 and sited on the red gra area.  Survey on this potential addition to the park to be completed via the festival at the behest of the Council.

Lights in the park – needed straightening up.  Anti-vandal paint to be added.

Margaret reported:  next 2/3 weeks work in the park tidying up the centre in readiness for the Festival.   Rose cuttings  - orders for these could be taken at the Festival.  Margaret to sort.  Margaret asked if a proper frame could be purchased for over the fruit bushes in time for next year.  Barrie to sort.  A small frame is to be produced for under the notice board at the Brassey Street entrance and this could be planted up.

Gwen – “Old Ightenhill” booklet will be on sale at the Festival at a cost of £5 with a donation from proceeds going to FOIP.  Ida to advertise on Facebook.

Rebecca – Light in Buzz Hub toilet not working, Barrie to sort.   Also, there is an offer of a work bench that FOIP can make use of.   There followed a discussion regarding the Buzz Hub and its eventual use.  Initially, the building needs a bit of work internally before any final decision is made.    Some members would like this to be a workshop (and temporarily this is a good idea – make use of the space) and some members would still prefer this to be a community  café.  Further discussion centered around who would run it, when, etc.   Ida reminded members that funding had been received in the past to be used towards a community facility.  Whatever the facility, the fit out to be completed by an outside body.

Cath informed members that there would be potatoes and tomatoes for sale at the Festival.   Need also for herbs and cacti for sale at the Festival.  Can any member help ?
